Grade Levels Served:
STEM Pathways at Hallandale Magnet High School are offered to students in grades 9–12.
Prerequisites:
Open to all students with an interest in STEM, Automotive, Aviation, Emergency Medical Technician, or Health Science/Sports Medicine.
No prior experience is required; students should simply demonstrate interest and commitment to their chosen pathway.
Course Requirements by Pathway:

• Automotive Technology: Available to 11th-grade students.
• Aviation & Aviation Mechanics: Open to 10th-grade students.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Offered to 12th-grade students. Students must complete Health Science prerequisites and participate in clinical and skills labs.
• Health Science / Sports Medicine: Open to grades 9–12. 

• Unweighted Grade Point Average: 2.5 (core classes)
• Florida Standards Assessment scores (English Language Arts and Mathematics): level 3 or greater. If FSA scores are not available, applicants must provide nationally recognized standardized test scores in reading and mathematics: score 50% or greater.

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) provides transportation for magnet students attending Hallandale High School residing inside of Broward County more than two miles from the school and south of Sunrise Blvd.

• The transportation schedule is mailed to parents of registered students prior to the first day of school by BCPS Transportation Department.

Students accepted into Hallandale Magnet High School’s Entrepreneurship Pathways have access to Magnet transportation services for families living south of Sunrise Boulevard. Eligible students may receive district-provided bus transportation to and from school based on their home address and designated Magnet routes. Specific bus stop information is assigned by Broward County Public Schools Transportation once enrollment is confirmed.

If you don’t have an account, click “Create Account” and follow the instructions.

2. Select the Magnet Application.
After logging in, look for the “Forms” or “Applications” section.
Click on “Magnet Application.”

3. Choose Hallandale Magnet High School.
Select Hallandale Magnet High School-Academy of Entrepreneurship, STEM & Multi-Media Technology

4. Complete all required information.
Review student details and answer all questions.
Make sure everything is accurate before submitting.

5. Submit the application within the Magnet Window.
The Magnet Application Window is November 3 – December 19.
Applications must be submitted by December 19 to be considered. (Phase 1)

6. Save or print your confirmation. After submitting, save or print the confirmation page for your records.

We offer multiple industry-aligned STEM Pathways, including Automotive Technology, Aviation, Aviation Mechanics, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Health Science/Sports Medicine. Each pathway provides hands-on learning, labs, real-world simulations, and industry certifications.

No prior experience is required. The STEM programs are open to all students with an interest in science, technology, engineering, health, or technical careers. Students receive foundational training before moving into advanced coursework.

• Automotive Technology: 11th grade

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): 12th grade

• Health Science/Sports Medicine: Grades 9–12

Yes, students can earn certifications such as EKG, First Aid/CPR, Automotive Service certifications, Aviation safety and mechanics credentials, and EMT certification eligibility upon completion of required coursework and clinical or technical training.

Yes, Magnet transportation is available for eligible students living south of Sunrise Boulevard. Route details are assigned by Broward Schools Transportation once a student is accepted.
