Cambridge courses:
FAST ELA Score: Level 3 or higher • FAST Mathematics or Algebra 1/Geometry EOC: Level 3 or higher • Demonstrate strong critical-thinking skills and a readiness for rigorous, advanced coursework

Course Requirements:
Students complete a sequence of Cambridge courses that strengthen analytical thinking, writing, and problem-solving skills. To earn the AICE Diploma, students must complete seven Cambridge courses over three years across required subject groups, pass all required Cambridge exams, and complete 100 documented community service hours.  Students are expected to actively engage in coursework, participate in academic discussions, and meet the high standards of Cambridge assessments.

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) provides transportation for magnet students attending Hallandale High School residing inside of Broward County more than two miles from the school and south of Sunrise Blvd.

• The transportation schedule is mailed to parents of registered students prior to the first day of school by BCPS Transportation Department.

Students accepted into Hallandale Magnet High School’s Entrepreneurship Pathways have access to Magnet transportation services for families living south of Sunrise Boulevard. Eligible students may receive district-provided bus transportation to and from school based on their home address and designated Magnet routes. Specific bus stop information is assigned by Broward County Public Schools Transportation once enrollment is confirmed.

1. Student expressing interest: If a student is interested in the Cambridge Program, they should let their counselor or teacher know so they can be referred to the Cambridge Coordinator.
2. Schedule a meeting: The Cambridge Coordinator will contact the family to schedule a meeting with the student and parent/guardian.
3. Attend the Cambridge meeting: During the meeting, the coordinator will review the program, explain expectations, course options, and AICE Diploma requirements.
4. Create the student’s schedule: Together, the coordinator, student, and parent will design a schedule that includes appropriate Cambridge courses.
5. Select the best pace: The student, parent, and coordinator will decide on the best pace and pathway for the student’s success in the Cambridge Program.

The Cambridge Program is a rigorous, internationally recognized academic program that builds strong critical thinking, writing, and problem-solving skills. Students take advanced courses and complete Cambridge exams that prepare them for college-level work and global academic standards.

Yes, students should have a FAST ELA Level 3 or higher and a FAST Math or Algebra 1/Geometry EOC Level 3 or higher. Students must also show strong critical-thinking skills and readiness for rigorous coursework.

To earn the AICE Diploma, students must:

Cambridge courses are recognized worldwide and can lead to college credit, advanced standing, and scholarship opportunities. The AICE Diploma also qualifies students for the Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholarship if all requirements are met.

Students meet with the Cambridge Coordinator, who then schedules a family meeting to review the program. Together, the coordinator, student, and parent select the appropriate courses and create a schedule aligned with the student’s goals.
